Too many artists easels are made of poor quality. Artists easels need to be constructed of high quality canvas and wood fir. Having these components as a foundation for the easel is usually not enough, artists easels need to be strong and have a professional finish as well. Paint can ruin wood easily so that is why it is important to finish it with a sealant and water protectant. A fantastic easel also has little holsters on the side to organize your brushes. Some of the more expensive models also carry paper towel dispensers on the right or left side.
