Today I met with an attorney. Not that I want to sue anyone for anything in particular, but that I wanted to know what my rights and possibilities would be if I decided to go down that path. He said that medical malpractice statistics would not support my grounds for a law suit. He then added that he did not rely on statistics and took each case based upon it’s own merits. He said he approached each case as if it was going to go to trial and at the same time stayed open to the possibilities of an out of court settlement.
