The first person you usually see in a law office is the paralegal. They take information about your visit and organize it for presentation to the attorney. Paralegal jobs are filled by very knowledgeable and competent people. Depending on what needs to be done, the paralegal is the one that puts all the paperwork together for your case. If it is a complex case the attorney will even put the paralegal to researching the law as it pertain to your case. They often are the ones to first interpret legal documents you present to determine if it is in proper form before the lawyer gets directly involved.
