My husband and I have five daughters and the first four are all athletic and have played softball and basketball.  The youngest girl was not interested in sports at all, so this was something new for me.  She said she wanted to play an instrument and be in the band, so we went out to find a place where they sell musical instruments and we picked out the instrument that she and her music director had chosen.  All this was foreign to me, but as a mother, I wanted her to be happy in whatever she chose and now the french horn is a part of our family.

Okay so what are we all up to? O was really not a musically inclined person; much more I am hardly able to play an instrument. Then my teacher is pulling my leg like a rag doll telling me that I should learn how to play the Celtic bagpipes.  Now I am even more depressed. My problem is not really with the Celtic bagpipes, it is just that I do not trust my self. I think I am not going to be able to play the Celtic bagpipes that look rather enormous and complicated.  I contemplated that for a while and seems I have no escape, I just tried my very best to well, try to play the Celtic bagpipes. Well, it was quite simpler than I thought it would be, but it is just that I am having some problems with my evaluation of my performance.

For my birthday my husband got me the coolest gift I have ever received.  He took one of my favorite shots from our honeymoon and had it turned into a 36″x48″ canvas print.  What was a beautiful photograph is now a work of art.  Everyone who enters our foyer notices and remarks on this gorgeous print.  If it was not obviously us in the photo, you would think that it had been done by a professional.  It truly would be worthy of hanging in any fine gallery.  We have many years of marriage ahead of us, but I seriously doubt he will ever be able to outdo this present!

When you are on your way between San Diego and LA you may pass though the town of Temecula.  While you are there take a little while and stop off at the Temecula Museum to learn about the history of the area and to let the kids play in the hands on museum for kids.  It will give them something to do and learn at the same time.The kids can visit the general store, dress shop, photographer studio or maybe even ride on one of the ponies.  Each of the stores have hands on exhibits that they can interact with and learn while having fun.There are special events that take place at the museum on the First Thursday where you will be able to enjoy gallery talks or demonstrations and more.  The Family Day activities on the First Saturday of the month have hands on interactive learning opportunities for the kids and families alike.

When I go jogging, I like to be able to listen to music. I was getting bored with the songs that I had on my music player, and I wanted to add some more songs without having to pay for each one. My oldest daughter told me that she and her friends always use Ares music downloads because it’s easy, and the songs are always free. I browsed some of the music and found my favorite songs right away! There seems to be top ten lists compiled about any subject that is under the sun. I would say that trying to decide the top ten list of all time music legends would be an enormous task. Where would you even start? Is it based on their technical skill in their genre of music? Can you compare the voice of a legend to the ability to rock out a five minute guitar solo? Did they need to be publicly famous or could they have had only a major influence in the background? There are so many factors that would need to be considered.
