Personalised number plates by DVLA

Sunday, March 15th, 2009

The DVLA in England have the largest stock of personalised number plates available in the country. They are allowed to sell registrations which were not used in there normal business of licensing all vehicles registered in the country. Currently they have 30 million available on their website which can be bought on line or if you prefer you can call the telesales team and buy that way during normal office hours. They also hold auctions several times a year for more exclusive numbers and even have sealed bid sales for numbers specially requested for inclusion by members of the driving public.

The truth is, you can find a lot of used car dealerships in NY to make your purchase. There are a lot of Rochester used cars, and a good way for you to decide what dealership to use is to start looking at the cars that are on the road. All dealerships, even used car dealerships, put their names on the rear trunk or around the license plate tags. If you see a lot of used cars from the same company, then it is a safe bet that this is a dealership with a lot of happy customers and repeat business.

You Never Know!

Monday, February 16th, 2009

I am a stay at home mom and rarely go anywhere!  I generally make only few trips to the store and town in a month.  I figured why have a used car warranty I am not on the road that much anyways.  Well, I found out when I was in an accident just down the road from my house!  I could have saved so much money if only I would have made the decision to get the extra coverage!  I had to learn the hard way, and now am confident that in the future I will never be without it!

Is the water4gas scam real?

Friday, February 13th, 2009

You may not believe it is possible to run your car on water but you should open your mind if you don’t. Many are calling this the water4gas scam, but realistically it’s not a scam, it’s brilliant conceptual thinking. Someone realized that water actually contains two parts hydrogen which is a clean burning gas! Through an electrical evaporation process the water is actually converted into hydrogen gas (removing and separating the oxygen molecule) which is fed into your engine and burns exactly the same as (but more efficiently than) high octane gasoline! So not only will it burn in your engine it burns incredibly clean!

DVLA number plates success

Thursday, February 12th, 2009

The DVLA entered the private number plates marketplace some years ago and has enjoyed continued success since that time. The registrations they sell are generically known as DVLA number plates but are split into seperate categories. They started out with prefix numbers which still makes up the majority of sales and progressed onto the current style numbers which are gaining in popularity. Alongside these telesales there have been auctions mainly selling higher value numbers including short ageless registrations and also suffix type numbers. They experimented with low value auctions for a while but they now seem to be trialling these sales by sealed bid tender.

Researching Auto Extended Warranties

Wednesday, February 4th, 2009

I have been fortunate enough to have been able to purchase a new car every couple of years.  I have never had to worry about what to do when a vehicles warranty expired.  I have just two more payments to make on the truck I drive and just one month left on the warranty coverage.  I have decided to keep the truck and not trade it in on a new one.  I am not sure how much longer I will have my job so I think it would be wise to keep the truck and look into the auto extended warranties that are available.

If you need to buy used cars

Wednesday, January 28th, 2009

So you really need a new car and you are thinking you want to do it online. If you need to buy used cars then look no further than eBay. It is not a difficult process to buy off ebay and you can keep yourself relatively safe by following some simple instructions on how to go about finding vehicles. Always make sure when you want to buy used cars that you are reading the seller ratings and feedback of the individual that you are going to or thinking of buying from to make sure they have not cheated anybody in the past.

Portable On Board Air Tanks.

Fire Up Those Projects With Portable On Board Air Tanks.

For as long as I’ve lived in my current home, I’ve had my eyes set on buying a small, portable air nailing system I could use to do the many projects my wife and I have planned around the house.

For some reason(s), however, I’ve never gotten around to buying one.

But if I really thought about it, though, I’d say it was the hassle of having to haul around an air compressor to attach the tools to.

Not anymore!

With the newer, smaller, and portable on board air system on the market, I’m good and ready to get all those projects fired up again.

Car Insurance for Travelers

Thursday, January 22nd, 2009

My husband has moved to the United States from the United Kingdom 2 years ago. His parents visit us about twice a year. The first visit, they had spent more on a rental car than they did on their flights! The majority reason for this was the insurance. I had looked into Temporary Car Insurance Cover for the next time they came over. Instead of having to spend money on a rental car and then the insurance, they were able to buy this insurance to drive my vehicle. This is what they do every time they visit now and it really saves them a lot of money!

Chinatown Wars for Nintendo DSi

Wednesday, January 21st, 2009

Now that Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars has been released for Nintendo DSi a little while (it hasn’t really I’m just pretending I’m in the future) we can see what impact it has had on the games market. It has so fairly well as expected but there doesn’t seem to be a large flow of similar games now being released on the DS now that GTA has tested the water. This could be because companies are still not sure if the risk is worth taking or it could be that there hasn’t been enough time to develop new games in this vein since the release of Chinatown wars.

I Want a Fancier Car

Sunday, January 4th, 2009

For the last seven years now, I have driven a reliable, affordable car. It didn’t have any frills. It was standard with hardly any great options. But, it has done its job and taken me where I needed to go and whenever I needed to go. And, now it’s time to purchase a fancier car. So, I’ve narrowed my selection to several great LHD cars for sale at the local dealer. I really like the Audi, the BMW and the Mercedes. Who wouldn’t? After I test-drive the vehicles in the next couple days, I’m hoping that I’ll be able to narrow my selections a bit more. I can’t wait to have a sleek, extraordinary grown-up car.

When To Invest In A Hydrogen Car Kit?

Wednesday, December 31st, 2008

What used to be absolutely out of reach in terms of cost is now readily available because of the new widespread use of HYDROGEN CAR KIT technology. With this introduction of this technology, comes a greater chance for more to start using the great power of Hydrogen as an renewable energy source. It really is so important, because the use of this technology could really make a difference when it comes down to just how much trouble we are in, over the next coming decades with the environmental situation. You Can Buy A Hydrogen Car Kit here.Without even mentioning the effect that this technology could have on our planets health, the potential savings that someone using a hydrogen car kit can make are a huge benefit. You wouldn’t have to be a genius to work out that most people are buying up this technology in order to save themselves money on the costs of gasoline for their car. Anyway, when it comes down to it, it really does not matter for what the reason that people start using this technology is. What really matters is that we start to see this technology used in our society on a much larger scale than what it has been so far.

I Was Looking for Good Truck Values On The Lot

Wednesday, December 24th, 2008

I took my uncle mike with me when I went to the lot. He had been an auto dealer for the past 45 years and he was a great judge of what would be considered good Truck Values of what they were selling on the lot. I did not have anything to trade in and I had a limited budget and an even more limited credit score so I wanted him to help me get the absolute best deal that I could. He had one right by my dad in the past and helped me get my first truck a few years ago. So I was counting on him.
