My grandmother Tilly is a great lady — she’s truly loved by her family. But she has a medical problem: the quality of her hearing has declined over the years. While at a senior citizen center meeting recently, someone told her about a company that makes a cheap hearing aid — without getting her hearing professionally tested, she went and ordered this hearing aid. She found out that it was one of those older analog models — and most of the time it doesn’t really help her that much. For example, she cannot hear my mother’s voice when she is talking if the television is also playing in the same room — all of the sounds are amplified together. She learned her lesson and I hope you do as well: don’t fool around with your hearing — choose a high-quality hearing aid model from a reliable dealer/manufacturer.
