It is true that the purpose of decorating houses and its rooms is to make them look good. There are other purposes too. If all the parts of a house, including the bedrooms, the drawing rooms and even the kitchen have proper Contemporary Decorating, they will automatically be well maintained. And, you must agree that a very good maintenance of all the parts of the house make sit last longer. It is also quite natural that you would take more care of the decorated than others.
