Although, there is a large agreement among people that the Electric Hot Water Heaters are costlier than the gas water heaters, it is also true that while the electric hot water heaters gets turned off in case of load-shedding, the gas water heaters constantly keeps working. But it is not wise to just ignore some other facts on the basis of these two concerns. One should also consider the availability of the natural gas or the propane gas, needed to run the gas water heaters. We also hear now and then about the accidents happened due to the malfunctioning of the gas water heater or due to the leakage of the gas itself
