My husband and I are trying to decide which would be the best pet for us to have with small children. He is leaning toward a cat, and I am leaning toward a dog. We want to read some articles about dogs and some articles about cats to try to figure out which breeds of each animal might work out for us, and then try to decide which might work out best for us. My daughter is actually pushing for one of each, which I don’t think is going to happen, at least not any time soon. I think we’ll try one pet first before we get into two.
