If you are in high school and are planning to go to college, then get ready to take the Scholastic Aptitude Test.  This test is preferred to the ACT by some colleges, and will have a high determining factor on whether or not you get accepted into many institutions.  It is typically taken by high school sophomores and/or juniors and can be taken in a variety of locations regionally.  You can take the SAT more than once, but be aware that there is a fee to take the SAT, and you will have to pay this fee each time you take the test.
