My soon-to-be ex-husband had an affair and I am curious to whether or not I will receive alimony since I initiated the separation and divorce process. We were married for over 20 years and have 3 beautiful children. We have a house valued at over $500,000 and I would very much like to keep the house. The kids are going through enough changes with the divorce that I really do not want to move them. We also have beach property that is completely paid for. I have always been a stay at home mother so without some type of compensation I am afraid we will have to sell the house.
