While watching the world go by is my favourite holiday occupation, there is nothing quite like exploring past the touristy centre of a great city like Graz to get a taste of real life. While Graz city centre has much history and architecture to offer, why not take a drive out of the city into the great blue yonder. Pack up a picnic with some good Austrian Schnitzel and take your Graz rental car for a spin out into the glorious countryside. When some of the world’s best scenery begins to bore you (as if!), there is the Schloss Eggenberg, 16th century palace to visit. Decked with magnificent works of art in incredible state rooms, you will not be disappointed.
