Money is very tight this year and I fear will be for the next few to come. Of course, this forces one to better define what constitutes a “need”. I have spent the summer months doing just this. As a result, I have moved two wants into my needs list and one need into my want list. I need to garden and I need to travel.
I know me and I realize that I don’t function well without time away from my usual routine. I plan on traveling to France again, later on this year. The thing that is least important to me about traveling is where it is I stay for the nights. There are many inexpensive or cheap hotels in France. Having said this, cheap does not mean crap !
The French do know how to make things comfortable and affordable for the average person. I have never had a bad experience when staying there. I have been able to put more money toward the food I eat while there and experience more of the culture through the arts.
